In July of 2000, Julius Peppers was arrested for assaulting a fellow UNC student near Franklin Street. The incident was reported by a friend of the victim. The case was "settled" in mediation and eventually dropped in people's court.
Julius was also suspended by the NFL's Carolina Panthers in 2003 for steroid use.
