If I was a unc fan (and thank god I'm more ego-formed than that), I wouldn't be pissed about the travel distance, I'd be pissed about the altitude.
Oh and if you think as (in the immortal words of) phil ford "The committee never looks out for us?"
4 numbers:
1993.
unc a #1.
Syracuse # 2 (They were so good they lost to a SHABBY Penn State team that year)
unc STILL needed a comeback against a Cinncinnati team that was above average. unc STILL needed Donald Williams shooting the lights out.
And of course unc STILL needed the help of a Michigan booster laundering money and a player on the take.
TRADITION! IT'S HARD TO BEAT!
Excuses, hypocrisy, delusion, these are all allies of the dark side.

I find it hard to reason that Carolina, a public university, and a well-respected, all around school is the "dark side," when a private school, with gimmicky Coach K, shithead, out of state, dorky students isn't.
Dread, did you read the article in one of the latest Sports Illustrated about UNC vs. dook? It basically says dook is the dark side. That's the general perception around the State. Once again, Dread, you're a dumbass who shouldn't talk.

It is rather difficult to be "the evil dark side" dressed in baby blue. Good point, hoc.

Around the state, every other school hates UNC and their whiny fans.

That is a fact. Everyone hates the HOLES.
All ACC schools pull agains the HOLES.
And CAROWHINA got such an easy schedule the first 2 games.
AIR FORCE? Everybody believe AF should not have even made the tournament, and a 11 seed. Give me a break
Then the HOLES play TEXAS probably, and TEXAS got beat like a drum by OSU.
HOLES get an easy first two games

Come on. You're all walking around Carolina fans all the time (or so you say), because they're not the dark side. It's as simple as that.

I cant believe a team like AF got in over FSU. Mind boggling.

The picture above the article is easily one of the best cartoons I've ever seen on the subject. If I had a scanner, I'd share it.

That particular article from SI was written by a tarhole.Considering that,it wasn't some grand indictment of Duke or its bball teams.Parts of it were fairly humorous and that's the spirit that I took it in.It would, however,be nice to have a similar story written by a Dukie but SI has cornered the market on pro-smurf journalists.

If this guy thinks Texas is bad, he obviously doesn't follow college basketball outside the ACC.

Kirkpatrick is a unc alumn.
Who else? This is from the SI website...their online and magazine writers for NCAA bball.
Grant Wahl? (Princeton grad, grew up in KC)
Luke Winn? (no clue)
Seth Davis? (DUKE grad, grew up in Potomac Maryland)
Mike Fish? (Spent most of his life in Atlanta, went to Ithica College NY)
Alexander Wolff? (Princeton grad, raised in Rochester NY)
Tell me, who's biased and why?
