Andre Johnson never quit football before the NFL season started...Good luck at Home Depot, Jones.
To quote boxer Larry Holmes "this guy (Jones) couldn't carry Andre Johnson's jock strap". Better to find out he is a QUITTER now than in a football game!
Dwight Jones is the next Andre Johnson. There must be someone named Andre Johnson flipping burgers somewhere. He's definitely not the next Houston Texan named Andre Johnson. No one will be, as soon as Dre hangs them up, his name will be the first inducted into the Texans ring of fame.
6-4, 230, 4.46 speed will turn to 6-4, 330, 5.46 speed after sitting on the couch. What gall this guy even had saying that he was the next Andre Johnson. GET THA **** OUTTA HERE CLOWN!!!
It looks like he scanned his competition and saw no way to make the roster so he quit before he was cut. I almost like it. I think it means there is too much competition for him. Very good sign or he has some personal problems.
It sure did not take him long to figure out that he was not the next Andre Johnson
I knew Dwight was full of @#$% the moment he said he was the next Andre Johnson.
If you could have picked one name of any player on the Texans' roster who would quit the team, saying he didn't want to play football anymore, who would it have been? When a person's mouth is the hardest working part of their body, the rest of him/her will quit first
He brought a sorry work ethic and attitude into the Texans locker room and got his butt handed to him, I'm betting. It's unfortunate. A guy like him had all the physical tools to be a multimillionaire celebrity sports player, and didn't have the head for it.
Not a shocker - now he can take that degree and go join the real work world!
Damn! That's missed up. Oh well, Dwight Jones wasn't going to make the team anyway, but damn, don't just up and quit like that...Dwight Jones, your a joke! Telling everyone he's the next Andre Johnson. Your pathetic!
Wow. Guess LZ's source had it right. ...."One person with personal knowledge of Jones called him "entitled", "lazy" and "a t*rd who doesn't have the work ethic to make it in the league". I have no doubt that those things are true. Jones is 6'3/230, runs in the 4.5s and was productive in college. You don't go undrafted with those credentials unless you deserved
