Texas has more firepower than the Cards. I think Cards are better defensively since the Frucal acquisition. Also think Cards have advantage in games played by NL rules. Pitching imo is a wash. texas has a better bullpen but their starters have been getting hit on quite a bit since Sept. In the end I think Cards win in 7. They have the best player and best manager in baseball

Well, Wilson has sucked in the postseason so I gotta say StL has a big advantage on the mound tonight.

That said, Texas handled Verlander pretty well so I think they can handle Carpenter.

I was too upset to post last night. This loss hurt. Really hurt. Where do I start?

1. Descalso batting for Freese with runners on first and third????? La Russa could have made the defensive substitution next half inning. Will never figure out what La Russa was thinking here. Descalso is batting .167. i'd have said the heck with the lefty vs righty thing and went with the hot bat. Overmanagement on La Russa's part

2. Pujols botching the cutoff throw. This lost the game

3. Rhodes in for Motte???? Why? Hamilton was batting on one leg. With runners on 2nd and third Cards needed a K. The relic Rhodes isn't going to blow away anybody

This loss really hurt. I'm still upset about it. A brilliant game by Garcia is wasted. Wasted. Rangers are gonna go hog wild in Texas. Best case for Cards is to go back to StL down 3-2. Gotta hand it to the middle INF for Texas. They're the reason Texas is still in this series
