Jason CapelJason Capel is joining the Charlotte Bobcats ... no, not as a player.
The former North Carolina Tar Heel is joining the Bobcats' radio team. He'll do color analysis on about 30 of the team's games, mostly the second half of the season.
Capel, a 6-8 forward in college, briefly made the Bobcats' roster their inaugural season. He later played professionally in Japan, and for the Fayetteville franchise in the NBA's developmental league. In Fayetteville, he played for his father, Jeff Capel, now a Bobcats assistant.
Capel will share the color-analyst job with Muggsy Bogues and Stephanie Ready. Bogues will do about 50 games (mostly home games), and Ready will occasionally fill in on radio when not doing sideline reporting on the Bobcats' television broadcast.
