Being on the field during a game is a pretty damn cool thing. I love it down there. I played in HS and there is nothing like it. The family splits time on who escorts the ram and weeks are not easy to come by so it is not the chore you are making it out to be.

I do nothing but walk onto the field, watch the game and walk off. You would be a fool not to take that opportunity if it were given to you. After all in rawlee, they pee in the seats not on the field. the sidelines would be your safest bet.

State fans are overconfident and have been since Phil;lip rivers was there despite being nothing but average. But that is not the same as saying someone predicted a great season. Dread himself predicted a win so that is proof enough since he asked it, but this thread is not about that at all. Its about the ironic similarity between the fans and the players when it comes to how average the team actually is compared to how loud they get about how great they are.

do i see three games i can point at and say "ok, we'll win those"? no.

but i look at the schedule and i see enough maybes to equal three or four wins.

last year's anomally aside, wake isn't that good and is beatable.

once again, nc state's o line IS a question mark. their play in the first half against ucf was horrendous. played much better in the second half, but that could have been caused by a number of factors:

1 did ucf "call of the dogs"?

2 was harrison beck's superior play a cause of confidence for the line?

3 half time adjustments?

i guess we won't know until saturday. i'm HOPING it was 2 and 3. though more likely it was 1,2,3 in that order.

True story hairless, my freshman year was the year after Holtz left and we weren't expecting much. That season xarolina coached by Dooley had a strong top 20 team.
At the end of the year our record was 3-8 but one of those 3 was over unx-xh.

Of course no way anything like that could happen this year with xarolina being so strong and all bot to mention the Gawd (BD) factor.
