QUOTE

The last four NCAA Tournament appearances that have included a stop in the state of North Carolina have resulted in Final Fours for the Tar Heels (2005, 1998, 1997, 1993).

Carolina holds a 19-1 record in NCAA play in the state of North Carolina (the lone loss came in Raleigh in 1979).

The Tar Heels have at least three NCAA wins against only five programs: Michigan (3-1), Notre Dame (3-0), Ohio State (3-1), Villanova (3-1), and potential second-round opponent Michigan State (3-0).

Five of the last six number-one seeds Carolina has received have resulted in Final Four appearances--the only exception came in 1994.

the only bad history is all kay...

QUOTE

The ACC Tournament champion has failed to advance as far as the NCAA final eight in four of the past five years.

Boy, nothing like an article from adam lucas to assuage the frothing masses until the first game.

Doggone it - unc-juco is good enough, popular enough and win enough to validate their lives.

DUMBASS.........who has the most wins in NCAA Tourney history? Who has the highest winning pct of any coach who has coached at least 10 years in NCAA Tourney history? I don't know who's the bigger IDIOT you or Adam "I blow UNC every chance I get" Lucas

Perhaps Adam Lucas can explain to us since UNC is a "winning machine" in NCAA's why do Hole fans here and everywhere cry so loud about UNC's "bad draw"?

IF kay himself researches the same stats, he writes the same "article".

I don't know why people are getting pissed off at this. They are just stats and they are 100% factual.

Are some moodookies on here so angry that they refute the integrity of documented statistics now? ....oh wait laugh.gif

Add dean's and Roy's together and they equal this. might want to point that out to your favorite Kool-Aid drinker Adam Lucas. Remind him of who has all those NCAA tourney wins too will you? It appears he doesn't have a clue

Most wins and not the most titles means CHOKE a la less with more, according to moodookie logik.

In the last 10 years, how many times has dook been a 1 seed in the tourney? Of those, how many did K convert into a title?

Being a 1 seed doesn't mean you'll win it all but you should reach the Final Four a few times. Duke has made it in '99, '01 and the year UConn beat GT (can't remember the year. '03 or '04?). Not shabby at all but should have made it in '02 if Boozer hadn't gagged on the putback vs IU. Same goes for '98 vs Kentucky. Duke fans have not been shy about pointing out some memorable Duke chokes in recent years. Last year being a prime example

I didn't really expect you to answer but thanks anyway. I'll keep this in mind if UNC doesn't win it all this year.

No one's demanding you win it all. Just make the fekkin Final Four. If you don't the Choke Trophy will rest in CH until next year's tourney
