must handle the ball efficiently

must box out and grab defensive rebounds. they absolutely can't give unx two and three opportunities

go to mccauley inside to set up the offense. he's the best passer on the team and hopefully getting some calls on hansbrough



unx:

should press and trap more to utilize their athleticism and depth

should go inside to hansbrough to try to draw fouls on nc state's two big men

should be ready to go into transition off of nc state misses.



i'm sure coach lowe is working on breaking presses and traps in preperation for this game, although roy has stated he doesn't trust this squad to press i think he needs to in this game to wear down the pack and to pick up the tempo of the game. if he does press, and they don't do it well, leading to easy nc state buckets, it is going to be a ball game. also, in the first game against uva sidney commented he was willing to concede offensive rebounds to prevent easy transition buckets off of nc state misses. he may do this again, but nc state must maintain intensity on the defensive boards. no way we can run with the holes, but if we do control the tempo, we will at least have a chance to win late. if unx controls the tempo, its not going to be pretty.



these two teams are facing pretty much the exact circumstances of the first meeting, except that its in craple hill, and there is no duke game to look immediately to for the holes. expect unx to come out more ready to face nc state than they were last time, but also look for nc state to not be intimidated and sidney to have them playing to win, rather than playing not to lose. imo, both teams will be ready for this game. if either one comes out flat, i will be shocked.



this game is in the nose dome, however, so expect to see hanstravel get away with murder.

my concern is not what tyler gets away with, but more what they call on mccauley. if he gets a couple of touch fouls early, its gonna be a long night. if the refs just let them play down low, and mccauley doesn't have to worry about foul trouble, he can hold his own.

The Heels need to play some damn pressure defense cause state has no point guard, and we need to hope and pray state is ice cold. Predections im not gonna say the heels by twenty this time, but hopefully by eight or less. GO HEELS!

This is a scrappy game for both teams. Astur's en fuego, but he needs to keep his head in the game. Qtip sucks. Handjob and McCauley are cancelling each other out. Fouls are piling up for NCSU, and Costner was on the bench for the last four minutes. Enjoy Wright now holes - he's gone after this season.
