you do know that it would be a blocking foul if he tried to contest that dunk.
i also remember unc being up DOUBLE TO dook's NOTHIN' at that point in the game (not your pic). i also remember dook losing to lehigh in the first round of the NCAA great show by miles as a senior leader. averaged single digits all year long. good pick by indiana This post has been edited by pertsix: Jul 1 2012, 09:52 PM |

Especially the Lehigh comment. How many times ya wanna hear it? unx has a shameful legacy of that kinda crap....Davidson , Weber St , College of Charleston , Hampton , Santa Clara , EA Sports All-Stars. WTF? Ok , ya got one. QUOTE i also remember unc being up DOUBLE TO dook's NOTHIN' at that point in the game. Duke beat the shet outta unx that night. It was never close. That was the 30-point azz-whuppin.' Also , it would NOT have been a foul for Zeller to contest that shot. Not that it matters. That dunk followed a drive down the lane and an alley-oop from Nolan Smith. You can see 'im under the basket....blocking out Henson. ![]() BTW , which one of those moments will be shown ad infinitum everytime Duke/unx play or anytime college basketball buzzer-beaters are shown? |

2012-nba-draft-grades
Indiana Pacers F No. 26 Miles Plumlee No. 36 Orlando Johnson There had been rumors that Miles Plumlee would get into the first round in the weeks leading up to the draft but many scouts struggled to grasp the concept. Plumlee is 7-feet and has a 40 inch vertical. But his basketball skills are so raw that he simply doesn't justify a first round selection. The shock will eventually wear off, but the Pacers will still have to account for drafting Plumlee over Arnett Moultrie and Perry Jones. Buying a 2nd rounder to take Orlando Johnson wasn't enough to salvage their failing grade. |

NONE. less with more? how many are back for their sophomore year? lost how many times at home this year? by how much? losing by 20!!!! at one point to state? miles? hello? 3. i amended my statement for the original pic. |

QUOTE 1. do you not know what a "charge circle" is? Yes. Makes zero difference. Zeller didn't even put a body on Miles. Geez Louise , do ANY tarhole players EVER fail to make a play? QUOTE 2. dook lost to VCU. lost to lehigh. wvu. eastern michigan. providence. Take WVU out. They're not a mid-major. Besides , Duke got their revenge on those fux on their way to number 4. QUOTE no reason to lose that game to lehigh Just as there was "no reason" for unx to lose to the teams I listed. And? You make the absolute WORST , most hypocritically delusional arguments ever perpetrated on this board and that's sayin' something. QUOTE how many players joined that freshman class with a recruiting grade less than 96 by ESPN? NONE. less with more? See? This is what I'm talkin' about. You're all over the damn place. Now , we're on recruiting class rankings. Not sure how we got here though. Oh yeah. I forgot. You throw massive amounts of shet against the wall hopin' some sticks. QUOTE how many are back for their sophomore year? lost how many times at home this year? by how much? losing by 20!!!! at one point to state? miles? hello? QUOTE 3. i amended my statement for the original pic. Shoulda amended it all. Geez Louise , what a mess. |

Why is that so funny? You guys seem to hold Roy's career at Kansas against him. K was at Army, dude. BIG difference than Kansas. Ridiculous to even bring the comparison up. K is better than Smith or Williams and he has the wins and hardware to back it up and for the most part did it minus the Jordanesque talents Smith enjoyed his whole career. That fact while being a source of discomfort for holes is something they're just going to have to live with whether they want to or not |

QUOTE NBA Draft 2012: Weird Draft Combine Results You May Not Know About QUOTE Sprints: And the fastest time? Not even a guard. Not even a guy considered to be that athletic. Small forward Harrison Barnes ran 3/4 of the court in 3.16 seconds. But it gets weirder. The second best time? Thomas Robinson! QUOTE Lane agility: This is where things get really weird. In second place and third place were Jordan Taylor and Kim English, with times of 10.57 and 10.59 seconds. After them: two big men! JaMychal Green, of Alabama, and somehow, Miles Plumlee. The guy with the fastest overall time of 10.48 seconds- Quincy Acy. QUOTE Verticals: This you may have heard about. One guy had a standing vertical of 38 inches. The runner-up's jump was 34.5 inches. The runner-up was Damian Lillard. The winner? Once again, Harrison Barnes. You have to believe that Barnes has just been busting it since his poor showing in the NCAA semifinals against Kansas. Besides his poor ball-handling skills, the primary knock on Barnes' game is his athleticism. So much for that. The best max vertical went to Darius Johnson-Odom, when he jumped 41.5 inches into the air. After him came, again, Miles Plumlee, who was an inch behind. (Now we know how he snuck into the first round.) Only four players couldn't post a max vert of 30 over inches. They were (surprise, surprise) Henry Sims, J'Covan Brown (which is unacceptable for a guard), Robbie Hummel and John Henson. I'm actually more surprised about Henson's jump than Brown's. Henson is in the NBA because of his shot-blocking ability, and I'm pretty sure you usually jump when you do that. QUOTE Bench press: When it came to benching 185 pounds, players were at the top when they bench pressed it 15 times or more. Jae Crowder was the only person who managed it 20 times. Other guys who pulled off the feat without surprising anyone were Kevin Jones, Festus Ezeli, Miles Plumlee, Thomas Robinson and Jeffery Taylor. The list in general, however, was not what most would expect, as guards and thin post players usually can't quite get to fifteen. The rest of the victors: JaMychal Green, Darius Johnson-Odom, Meyers Leonard, Scott Machado, Tyler Zeller and—you guessed it—Harrison Barnes. but at the end of the day, the runt of the pack was Austin Rivers, who only bench pressed 185 pounds one time. QUOTE Overall winners: Harrison Barnes gets the gold medal for the combine Olympics, because while his scores were slightly inferior to Darius Johnson-Odom's, he completely changed his reputation. Johnson-Odom and Miles Plumlee can share the silver, Marquis Teague gets bronze, and Thomas Robinson, Quincy Acy, and Marcus Denmon each get a participation ribbon. QUOTE Overall losers: John Henson posted a horrible vertical for a shot-blocker, a bad bench press for a post player. He also chose not to participate in the speed/quickness tests, which may have been out of fear. LINK Rivers' lack of strength won't be nearly the handicap that Henson's will....plus Henson can't get off the ground. He's gonna struggle if he doesn't get stronger. Surprised that Barnes did so well. Clearly , Roy's system wasn't the forum to showcase his abilities. Miles? Well , the kid's an athlete. Should be able to board , play some D and get up an' down the court. Can back up a couple of positions. Role player. Barring injury , long career. Thank you , Coach K. Oh yeah. Almost forgot. Henson's bench...? QUOTE It's not just a matter of size, but also strength and athleticism. Henson managed just five repetitions on the 185-pound bench press at the draft combine in Chicago last week. LINK |
