Doug Gottlieb @ GottliebShow
And to unc fans,Suns clearly have Kendall Marshall slated as a backup now, that is bad news as backups are usually scorers # can'tguard Dennis Marshall MHA @ Tigerstyle1972 @ GottliebShow this dude sound like a real analyst to y'all??? Been wrong a whole lot lately. # clown Dennis Marshall MHA @ Tigerstyle1972 @ GottliebShow notorious unc hater. U mad because others made it where you couldn't hack it. U continue to take shots. Doug Gottlieb @ GottliebShow @ hugetarheelfan Nash can score, did not excel in league until he went to Dallas-got his own team-Kendall can't score- Doug Gottlieb @ GottliebShow @ Tigerstyle1972 right, like when I said unc could get to final 4 w/o Kendall, best team w/him- # clearlyahater Dennis Marshall MHA @ Tigerstyle1972 @ hugetarheelfan @ GottliebShow he blasted Marshall on ESPN before the draft and then he goes in the lottery. Him and his boy Dennis Marshall MHA @ Tigerstyle1972 @ GottliebShow Will always remember your words. Kendall isn't even good enough to be a back up in the NBA... Doug Gottlieb @ GottliebShow @ Tigerstyle1972 not what I said-Back ups in NBA pick up 94'-change tempo-he will struggle to be gr8 in limited minutes against elite ath Dennis Marshall MHA @ Tigerstyle1972 @ GottliebShow Guess you missed the second half of last college basketball season. Difference between can't score and not having to score. Doug Gottlieb @ GottliebShow @ Tigerstyle1972 backup PGs in the west-Bledsoe,OJ Mayo,Dragic,Jimmer to name a few- and where exactly were the mistakes? Dennis Marshall MHA @ Tigerstyle1972 @ GottliebShow @ noahsdad39 He's a "college analyst". Not NBA. He's never been at that level. He doesn't know. Doug Gottlieb @ GottliebShow @ Tigerstyle1972 but what do I know about being an elite passing point who can't score Doug Gottlieb @ GottliebShow 1-safety net 2-good question“ @ noahsdad39: @ GottliebShow why take a back up PG with the 12th pick in the draft??” Dennis Marshall MHA @ Tigerstyle1972 @ GottliebShow Averaged over 14ppg and shot almost 50% from three the last 10 games. Doesn't sound like someone who can't score to me. Doug Gottlieb @ GottliebShow @ Tigerstyle1972 i watched every game- NC State game was impressive- I stand by my analysis |

Dennis Marshall AKA MrTiger1 is Kendall's dad , I believe. He used to do the same shet while his son was prepping for/attending college....troll messag boards to tout obnoxously tout his son and all things unx. He's the archetype of the fat loser living life vicariously thru his sons' career. KM actually seems to be a good kid. His dad is a dolt. I feel kinda sorry for Kendall. Seriously.

unx fans defend their own with a religious fervor. From the same feed...
QUOTE Kevin Donalson @PastorKEDSR @Tigerstyle1972 @gottliebshow why argue with him. Kendall was a lottery pick after his Soph year. game speaks for him. Doug was undrafted Appears this man of God sat all that aside long enough to stand up and speak out on something REALLY important. |

i dont. seriously. I may have to amend my original assessment.... QUOTE Carlos Hall of Famer 5629 posts this site Ignore this Member Send Private Message Nominate | ReportPosted: Today 11:19 AM RE: Gottleib vs.... Butter scored 119 points over the last 10 games. Math is not my strength but I don't think that averages out to 14 ppg. (He did shoot 54% though.) As for that 54%, a lot of that was on layups and shots near the rim that I don't expect he's going to see or convert those shots a great deal once he gets in the NBA. He'll have a harder time getting around NBA point guards and he's not terribly explosive near the rim which will make it tough against the bigger and more agile NBA defenders. That said, talking about Kendall Marshall's scoring is a lot like talking about Kevin Garnett's ball handling... it's not what makes him unique as a player. What's tough when talking about a guy like Marshall is that the things that make him unique aren't measurable. His vision, feel for the game, and court awareness don't show up in combine drills. There simply haven't been a whole lot of guys like him - Jason Kidd is the most apt comparison and sure, Kidd was a much more prolific scorer in college. But then, in college Kidd had Lamond Murray as a teammate and that was about it. Marshall had Zeller, Henson, Harrison Barnes, Harrison Barnes' ego, Harrison Barnes reputation, and Harrison Barnes' preseason All-American rankings and all those guys needed the ball. Short story is: - Gottleib is right in saying that Marshall won't be much of a scorer in the NBA. - Gottleib is wrong in inferring this will hold Marshall back from producing at the level of a #12 pick. - Kendall Marshall seems to be a pretty good guy on and off the court. - Either Kendall picked up those characteristics from his mother or they skipped a generation. QUOTE deeyoukayeee Hall of Famer 5929 posts this site Ignore this Member Send Private Message Nominate | ReportPosted: Today 11:53 AM RE: Gottleib vs.... I hope everyone realizes I was kidding. Marshall is going to be a total bust. He had huge assist numbers based on two things (1) Very good court vision, and (2) four other first round draft picks on the floor with him at all times who were almost always bigger, faster, stronger and more skilled than the man who was guarding them. The fact he followed the worst pg in unc history tends to further augment his rep for brilliance. He's a very capable passer, but when every guy on you team has a great chance of scoring whenever they get the ball, well, assists are a bit easier to come by. Amazingly, when his HS team wasn't chock full of great players, he was rather pedestrian, numbers-wise. So unless he goes to a team featuring Kobe, LBJ, Durant and D12, I expect he won't look quite as preternaturally gifted. Combined with the fact he is a poor scorer and a God-awful defender in a league chock full of super quick, athletic points who can score as easily as they breath (and pass and defend), and I don't see how he ever makes an impact. QUOTE seadevil3 Freshman 413 posts this site Ignore this Member Send Private Message Nominate | ReportPosted: Today 1:25 PM Re: Gottleib vs.... This "Kendall is a classy kid" myth that Duke fans are sippin is complete hogwash. He didn't show any class during the two Duke games last year. Next to Henson he talked the most trash (which I don't necessarily have a problem with) of anybody. Evidence is that weird pic of him smiling to the crowd during last year's game @ Cryolina, while his hand is in I believe Curry's face who is in mid-shot. He may be cool off the court but he's extremely cocky on it, which most good - great players are. My problem is guys like Butta who like to talk when they're surrounded by other talent, but have nothing to say when they have to make average - below players better |
