I do. The reason for that is NCSU fans hate Duke a lot too. They're pissed off because both of those schools trash them every year. The public policy poll reinforced that, with State fans being almost exactly evenly split over whether they'd rather pull for unc or Duke.

unc fans aren't like that. For the most part, they only hate Duke. They don't care about State. So they overwhelmingly pull for State during the matchup. Likewise, Duke fans will overwhelmingly pull for State when they play carolina. There's no ambiguity.

i have a lot of friends that are state fans obviously and none of us in our group really HATE duke. i don't particularly like duke, but i pull for them against several other acc teams. most obviously unx. most state fans don't hate duke. there's a pretty big connection between the two schools when you consider vic bubas, v and coach k, and the mutual complete and utter disdain for unx.

no, i don't like losing to duke, but losing to them is the same as losing to clemson, or fsu, or wake, it's a loss and it sucks, conversely, i like beating duke more than i like beating a fsu, clemson or wake because of their place in basketball heirarchy, not because of some "hate duke" emotion. a loss to duke sucks, but because its a loss, not because it's a loss to duke.



but to my original point...................why do unxers HAVE TO TELL ME they are pulling for state? duke fans don't do it and i know they are when we play unx. just as i know unxers are when we play duke. i know you're pulling for state to beat duke, i understand, just shut the fucccccck up about it fucccccking dipshits.

Answer to your question is the same number. However, State has had 2x as many tries to beat unc than unc has had to beat State.
