Last year was a year for a decent white guy (Singler) to go pro. Yep. I said so last year too. Bird in the hand, baby. Singler will get drafted though. Zeller may not. I don't think he will. Next year's draft is gonna be LOADED. Tyler will regret this career decision. Get ready to challenge Montross for color analyst on radio broadcasts, Tyler. You blew it........to play for free |

Of all the top 5 freshman in the country (by draft projection), only one decided to forgo eligibility and go to the NBA.
Kyrie Irving. If Jones or Knight stay at UK then it's an overwhelming precentage of the top 10 as well. Is EVERY coach but K LYING? What could stop all of these players from going? |

Now when did I insinuate coaches advised these players to come back or go pro? I don't care who told them what. They're not my kids. I KNOW what I'd tell mine though.......go get paid while you still can. Tomorrow is not set in stone. Today is If your season long lockout a certainty why even have a draft? it's real simple.......the players will cave and everybody knows it. They'll be tapped out soon enough and alimony and child payments don't end. They're already beaten |

If your season long lockout a certainty why even have a draft? Why? PR. Stern is the king. NFL is the same way this year, they'll definitely still be locked out DURING the draft and it will go on. The NFL released the schedule today, we'll see if any of it gets played. |

QUOTE Why? PR. Stern is the king. Wouldn't it be better PR for King Stern-who happens to work for the owners btw-to say "due to the probability of the upcoming lockout to be a season long thing the owners have decided to forgo the draft this year and concentrate on next year's business"? Sure scare those paycheck to paycheck folks wouldn't it? They're having a draft b/c there is going to be a season. No other reason to have one QUOTE The NFL released the schedule today, we'll see if any of it gets played. I say it will. Care to wager? They'll crack |

Barnes reminds me of the kid in Little League the grew a wee bit taller than the rest of us and lorded over us for two years, until we all hit babe ruth ball and caught up with his narassistic butt. Turns out he wasn't special at all, just able to master some simple moves that made it seem he was head and shoulders above the rest of us. All in all, Barnes is who he is. I dont' see a major talent leap in year two. I don't think he'll go in the top five next year either. Bring it, Harry. Duke will be ready

QUOTE Life is better, the sky is carolina Blue and coach is so much more relaxed,” Barnes said. “As a team, it’s so much easier to come together and play instead of everybody being on edge and tight. “Just coming back and seeing all the teams that have won national championships, being able to come back and have an opportunity to compete for that as well and be in carolina’s rarefied air, there’s nothing like it.” QUOTE Barnes, known as Black Falcon by fans and media and called Grey Wolf by Williams LINK Douche. If that makes Barnes a douche, then what the hell is Rivers? Barnes is a douche for a lot more than that. This is just further evidence of such. God forbid if a hole fan will concede it though and they've seen that little shet in action already. "Grey Wolf" "Black Falcon" yada yada yada. |

He's individually better than any player on Duke's team, doesn't brag about his skills, and he loves unc. Sounds like DJ is just upset he picked to come to unc

He's individually better than any player on Duke's team, doesn't brag about his skills, and he loves unc. Sounds like DJ is just upset he picked to come to unc QUOTE The phone rang around 6 p.m. or so on New Year’s Eve. The caller ID read: Harrison Barnes. North carolina’s highly touted freshman had only 13 games under his belt and was struggling, at least according to the expectations. He was averaging only 12.1 points and was shooting 36 percent from the field. His buddy, Duke freshman Kyrie Irving, dominated out of the gates down the road, but the adjustment for Barnes took time. Now, Barnes was searching for answers. The consensus No. 1 player in the freshman class coming out of high school in Ames, Iowa, had three questions for me. 1. Did I think he still had a shot of being an All-American? 2. Did he still have a chance of being the national Player of the Year? 3. Most important, did I think the North carolina Tar Heels could cut down the nets? LINK Oh yeah. Certainly SOUNDS like a kid unconcerned about his "skills." |
