marvin williams, raymond felton, david noel was a walk-on that got drafted when he wasn't even thought of prior, rashad mccants is a moron, but can still play well, tyler hansbrough, ty lawson, wayne ellington, danny green all non-1 and dones, improved their draft stock, won national championships.

brendan haywood has an NBA championship ring, and so does rasheed wallace. how many does duke have? (among active NBA players).

i leave out sean may (too fat), brandan wright (1nD), ed davis (1nD), and terry (rode draft stock, like noel, but was bust)

Good Gawd , this is too damn easy. First of all , how many of those players listed are Roy's? Secondly , who cares about that stupid , pointless IC-driven argument about college performance as it pertains to NBA titles? unx'ers. That's it. Uh, I'd say almost ALL of our big men got better. Lawson noticeably improved.

So he consistently improves big men, and guards tend to stay about the same as when they came in. he's like the exact opposite of K!

Basically, if you are a HS superstar, and want to flounder around in college, unc is the place to be. And its not like you'll be 'developed'. In fact, you'll statistically be far less likely to succeed than your classmates that went elsewhere. Chapel Hill is a fun place, better enjoy yourself there.

Seriously, how Randle or Parker or any top recruit can look at stuff like this and still make that choice confounds me. Though I do suspect it played a role in the number of misses Roy has had recently. And the regression of Barnes will only stoke the fire.

Harrison Barnes Needs Your Support

The new movement, “SupportHB”, is designed for students and fans to give comfort and support to sophomore Harrison Barnes in the wake of his decision to forfeit his final two years of eligibility to pursue a career in the NBA. Why? Because he thinks you’re mad at him.

Some quick research traced the origin of the campaign back to two Twitter accounts, uncovering this exchange that kicked off the flurry of tweets with the new hashtag:

From ‘@uncproblems_’, “basically, @uncBetch talked to HB and he thinks all the students hate him, and we want him to know we support him, like we did for Kendall”. The statement was then corroborated by ‘@uncBetch’ with the tweet, “his exact words were ‘everyone hates me’. Ahhhhhhh, this is great. #SupportHB.”

It’s unclear to me if this is a brilliantly orchestrated joke being played on North carolina fans, a ruse by the originators of the campaign to gain attention, or if Harrison Barnes is really that sensitive. It certainly does fit the profile when you consider that Barnes would call sportswriters who blanketed him with praise during his high school career to ask if they still thought he was a good player during a rough stretch of games in his Freshman season. His awareness of his brand and his legacy has been well documented during his two years in Chapel Hill, a legacy that’s been severely damaged by his inability to deliver the results that Tar Heel nation expected when Barnes committed to North carolina following the 2009 championship season.

At face value, it simply seems like Harrison Barnes feels left out. unc fans surely don’t hate Barnes. Hate requires an emotional connection, which is something he failed to develop during his two seasons as a Tar Heel, or at least not at the level that his teammates have. Besides, Barnes can handle hate. He can’t handle indifference, however. Unfortunately for him, barring a superstar-like performance in the NBA, there’s likely a lot of indifference in his future whenever he comes back to Chapel Hill. Barnes is already old news. What’s the deal with McAdoo? Has anyone heard any more about Oriakhi?
