When he was stomping around the mound I just took it for frustration. His yapping at the 3rd base coach was a little over the top, but again I disregarded it as frustration. After the game the sports guy from the ABC affilliate in Raleigh asked him what the confrontation was about and Carignan called the Beavers cowards and added they play a cowardly brand of baseball. Didn't agree with their style of baseball. He said it was not baseball.

I've been posting over on the UNC board. They're really whiny.

OSU and University or Oregon are rivals, but it's a friendly rivalry. I can see why your dislike for the Tar Heels goes a little deeper.

Their message board is just sad. They cal us a juco school that cheats and then get mad when we state the obvious that they were totally over matched. The good news is at the CWS most of their fans were great. We had a really good time with of few of them. Most could take a good natured ribbing just fine, but some of them are just wayyyy too sensitive..typical of people who think too highly of themselves and take themselves wayyyyy to serious.

This year wasn't as much fun as last year as it only went 2 games and lacked a lot of drama. But, the repeat was great. I was never nervous this year much unlike last year.

A lot of the crap that happened on the UNC board started from a few very good nautured posts. They just couldn't help tell us how we got lucky last year, didn't deserve to be in it this year, cheated, our coach wastes arms and uses and abuses talent, etc... I'm not sure why they think that's OK, but us have some fun at their expense isn't. The good news we are done with them for at least a year. GO BEAVS!

Wow, seriously, I didnt believe you guys about the severity of their sore loser syndrome, but I just about fell out of my chair when I went over to insidecarolina to see it for myself. I thought ND fans were delusional when they screamed drunkenly at me about tradition before the Fiesta Bowl, but those folks are just freakin crazy.

They're railing on Casey about being a Dork? You've got to be kidding me!!!

And going on about the 'slow down the game' strategy and how thats not baseball? Did you not see Josh Horton step out of the box against a set OSU pitcher like 4 times in two games and during EVERY AT BAT AGAINST RICE?????? Its called strategy....psyche out your opponent........ Horton did it too, it just didnt work against our pitchers. It did apparently work against a clearly weak minded Carnigan tho, and a bunch of their batters......

It just blows me away that they can feel like OSU got lucky and cheated when they beat them soundly with a sweep and a collective scoring ratio of almost 3:1

They should seriously try scheduling some West Coast pre-conference games....... Maybe do a little ASU/Cal/OSU road trip and come home 0-9? Maybe that would keep a clearly inferior team from accidentally becoming the #3 seed based on a great record on a crappy schedule.....

*4 of 5 CWS championships won by current ACC schools were won by Miami BEFORE they were an ACC Member.

Note to UNC fans, OSU plays a conference schedule against teams that hold almost HALF of the CWS championships. UNC plays a conference schedule against teams that hold less than a tenth of them.
