Last night the MS Dinner of Champions honored Roy and he was so grateful to all the hole fans that payed at least $125 bucks to get in that he left immediately after his speech. When they had this same event honoring K 2 years ago he stayed around for over an hour afterward meeting with the fans, signing autographs and posing for pictures.
I'm sure he didn't want to miss his flight back to Omaha. |

I was at the Coach K event and I spoke to 2 people who were at the Roy one last night. His excuse for leaving early was that he had to make a couple of recruiting calls last night before 11pm. Now we all know his recruiting season is not going well but to use that as an excuse to get out of an event that he has known about for over 6 months is weak. Why couldn't he have made these calls earlier in the day or today? He's had more than 6 months to clear his schedule for that evening so he could spend a little bit of time with some of his most faithful fans.
Looks like his comments that he made during his radio show where he hates dealing with the fans are true. |

Well, you only have one senior next year and he's a seldom used reserve so whats the pressing rush?!

I think that postponing a couple calls to high schoolers would be the thing to do when you have a VIP room and a dinning room full of big $$ donors waiting to hang on your every word.
