Was their win against Texas. This team is absolute ass. Expect a 2nd round NCAA exit from the Horns. I hate how much big 12 basketball i have to watch with regional broadcasts.

Speaking of shitty wins, I bet Texas will go farther than UK. The 'cats would do well to reach the 2nd round of the NIT.

Congrats on another great thread, btw.

Kentucky is 17-9, 7-5 in the SEC. Ol Miss, LSU, Tenn, & Florida left on the schedule. I think they'll split those games and be 19-11 entering the conf tourney. If they go 1-1 they'll end up 20-12. I think Kentucky will get in the NCAAs with that record.

Texas is 22-4, and in first place in the Big 12. How can they be "ass"? Yeah, they've had a couple blowout losses, but geez.

And you can file this topic in the "you know you're a good team when..."
Duke beats Texas on a neutral court by 30+ points and it's considered your least impressive win.

What a tard.

You're right we should have beaten the 21-4 Longhorns by 50. They suck rolleyes.gif

Texas would hammer the Holes and poor ole Tyler would get a lesson in physical post play. Barnes' teams have never been accused of being ballet dancers

They can be ass because big 12 basketball is alot like ACC football- 2 to 4 solid teams year in and year out, maybe a flash in the pan here and there, mixed in with alooootttttttttt of mediocrity. The only genuinly impressive wins Texas has were against 'Nova and and Memphis, both at the Erwin Center, both against teams that match up with UT baddly. If Nova had played against the horns like they did against uconn, they'd have dismantled 'em.

Also, have you ladies forgotten that I don't think UNC is that good this year? I don't recall saying ANYTHING along the lines of "WE BEAT UK! THAT PROVES WE'RE AN AMAZING BASKETBALL TEAM!"

Which means they can beat a VERY AVERAGE BASKETBALL TEAM! AWESOME!

They beat state that bad? Carolina? FSU? Va Tech? (but hanstravel dook wasn't up fur thos gamez ur dum lolz! Whatever, dillweeds. Texas is worthless in sports that don't involve grass or water)

Edit: Memphis was at Memphis. Good win. UT's still baddly over-rated.

Yeah, shakespeare, guess that's why ol'payoff has been able to run up a lot of w's in the past and then choke so often when he got to the big dance. Well, that is, until he was able to backstab a fambly member out of his team...

And btw, who exactly are the B12's '2-4 solid teams' this year... or more to the point, where does UT rank in there?

Thought so.

Again - great thread.

Hmmm Texas beat 2 teams that are likely to be #1 or at worse #2 seeds in the NCAA tourney!!! You're right toolbag. They've beaten no one laugh.gif

Texas, KU, and and OU are top 25 teams. That constitutes solid. UT's already lost to OU. Remains to be seen how they'll fair against Kansas next week.

You asked for 2 to 4 solid teams. The polls say Texas is solid. I say they're ass. We'll see if I know better than a coalition of journalists/coaches come tourney time. No team starting Kenton Paulino in the back-court is gonna make serious bracket noise. Who ever's two seed they are road to the final four is that much easier...if they stay a 2 seed.

Texas is the best team in a weak conference according to you, and you think they suck because maybe they've been lulled on occasion into playing down to their competition... despite one of their 4 losses (5 after yesterday? - too lazy to check...) being to archrival OU at OU, and another being to #2 Duke at a neutral site. Duke beats them by 30 and it's Duke's least impressive win.

Hmmmmm.... hard to argue with well thought-out reasoning like that.

Playing to the level of their competition? When Duke lost to Georgetown by 3, that's playing to the level of your competition. When Texas loses, they get the f*ck kicked out of them by teams they're supposed to be much better than(OSU, Tennessee). It's not as though the Horns are incapable of being good; their front court should be the best in the country. If they beats the hell out Kansas on saturday, I'll revise my stance. Until then, I say they're worthless. First place in the big 12 = not slipping against teams like A&M & Baylor. Tough.

Pissn- If i were a gay mexican, which I'm not, why would posting a picture of another gay mexican bother me? Personally, if i were the original flip, i'd have let the whole "I'm a gay mexican" thing die faster than Jimmy V at a cancer contest, but hey, that's his show.

Jesus. This Texas team just doesn't know what to do. They seem to realize they have talent but then they just don't use ANY of it. Way to escape Kansas State ladies.
