Wow, give him a raise and he does something that's never been done: three top 25 comittments in three days.

Duke lands another basketball standout
7-foot-1 Zoubek 3rd top-25 rated recruit to commit in past 3 days

KEN TYSIAC

Raleigh Bureau

Brian Zoubek put a Duke hat on his head as he announced his commitment Thursday, capping a brilliant three days of basketball recruiting for Duke.
A 7-foot-1, 270-pound center at Haddonfield (N.J.) Memorial High, Zoubek gave Duke three commitments in three days from juniors ranked in the top 25 nationally.
"This is incredible," said All Star Sports recruiting analyst Bob Gibbons. "I can't recall ever in 30 years that a school got back-to-back-to-back commitments from three players rated in the top 25 in the country."Gibbons ranks Zoubek No. 17. Glenbrook North (Ill.) shooting guard Jon Scheyer (No. 8) committed Tuesday, and Episcopal Academy (Pa.) small forward Gerald Henderson (No. 21) committed Wednesday.
Zoubek averaged 20 points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots per game as a junior. He chose Duke over Stanford and also scored 1,360 on his SAT, according to Haddonfield coach Paul Wiedeman.
"He was focused very much on the combination of academics and athletics," said Paul Zoubek, Brian's father.
Wiedeman said Zoubek's biggest assets are his hands and footwork near the basket.
"He fits the mold as the perfect post player for Duke," Gibbons said. "He can score. He can block shots. He's very mobile."

Didn't mention it but roywonderboy was the guest introducer on CBS for the Wachovia, direct from the center of the don deano dome floor.

Wonder if that helped him any?

Yeah, they probably called Roy first. After he turned them all down he told them to accept the offer from K.

It is but only AFTER the game and it must be spoken to Bonnie Bernstein in front of millions of tv viewers.
