College basketball's greatest recruiter whiffs again?!?!?
I'm sure they didn't need the kid. Roy just needed an excuse to spend more time away from that butt ugly wife of his. |

Aminu is an 08 target and a big loss
Roe is a big loss Samuels is a big loss we will get our guys it just seems that these celebrated kids are wanting Roy to promise PT and starts before they even graduate HS...hint: It's not gonna happen like it does in other schools because...drum roll...Roy isn't nearly as desperate as other schools. Especially the ACC schools. |

QUOTE It's not gonna happen like it does in other schools because...drum roll...Roy isn't nearly as desperate as other schools. Do you have ONE quote from any coach or recruit or player from ANY school that indicates a coach "promised playing time"? Roy might not be "as desperate" as some other schools, but there was a time not too long ago that he got Mike Copeland into college because he needed a big body. You don't think he promised (or implied) playing time to Tywon or Hansbro? All they had to do was look at the depleted roster to figure it out. You want to differentiate Roy from other coaches, but you KNOW damn well he told Hansbro he would probably start from day one. |

..cry in living rooms ..promise an environment where they can showcase their talent and personality We're talking Roy Williams and as you claim his lack of desperation. You said it. You were called on it. Roy does table dances at recruits request. Deflecting isn't gonna help you |

Gotcha now that's funny ..promise an environment where they can showcase their talent and personality roy to recruit: i don't really need you, and if you come here, you won't be able to showcase your talent or your personality. we run this place like a prison. just ask rashad. |

Deflecting isn't gonna help you I see the point you are trying to make bloo, but Roy dancing on a table is not something I believe ever happened, and if it did it was in jest. There was no power move made by any recruit EVER on Roy Williams. This post has been edited by carolinarolls: Jun 28 2007, 11:19 AM |

Roy refuses to offer one of the two best shooting guards in the class, despite the fact that the kid is all but asking to commit to UNC, yet Roy's the desperate one
Need a link? |

Tyreke might bring his entourage to State or Clemson with vengeance on his agenda much like Chris Hobbs. --How'd that work out? |

back to the "whiff" argument you clowns speculated on...
QUOTE After having one of the nation's top-two recruiting classes in 2006, North Carolina did not have a signee in the class of 2007. The only player they actively recruited was the nation's top prospect, 6-9 C/F Kevin Love (Lake Oswego, Ore.), who chose UCLA. After losing that battle, coach Roy Williams and his staff turned their recruiting focus to the class of 2008. Thanks Bob Let's see who wants to argue with Bob Gibbons |
