Ask George Karl yourself, he'll tell you.

I don't have to.

Dean Smith didn't conduct the interviews, Baddour did. Baddour decided on Doherty against Dean's advice. Karl's beef was with Baddour, not Dean and not UNC in general.

Karl was never a realistic candidate due to his contract and due to Baddour preferring Doherty. Still, it was a slap in his face to have Doherty preferred over him.

It appears this thread didn't turn out too well for Holes. Props to DJ, Dread, and Lee who all come in with Henderson-like forearm shivers. Stoolie, Rolls, Crenshaw wobble off with bloody noses. Moped playing the Dewey Burke role contributes nothing but I'm sure he held them back

And there you have it...the ceremonial white flag from the abcer/moodookie contingent's self-annointed cheerleader upon getting dominated again. Thanks for the validation, bloodook.

Dewey is that mongoloid kid that rides the bench for unc. He won't test the NBA either.

NY times is not a very reputable sports source for any team in NC.

Nobody here has proven that there were offers made to Larry or George no matter how many hand springs and pom-pom routines bloodooke executes. The fact that a reporter claims Larry and George are no longer candidates does not prove that they ever were. How stupid are you kids anyway? You ask "why" Ask the NY times...see how far ya get laugh.gif

somebody start a poll on who amongst us subscribes/believes/buys in to the NYTIMES as a credible unbiased source on any subject. This is gonna be good.

Here's a news flash for you, rolls. The NY Times doesn't have a dedicated unc basketball reporter. There's a thing called the AP newswire. geezus

when in fact you believe they wer not the source anyway? geezus

point still not proven and although bloo will probably never tire of twirling his skirt to show off his bloomers, little progress has been made to help your cause in this same old debate some random moodooker keeps bringing up even though it has been destroyed on every other occassion prior.

The Wildact rejection article was PRINTED in the NY Times courtesy of the AP.
The article about Karl and Brown being contacted was published by Tarheeldaily.com
I don't know, maybe that's not a valid source to heels fans ????

Yes, it is true that Baddour is the one who must formally offer. But you're an idiot if you think he's the one who controls the coaching searches. The latest football search (which he was not a part of) should prove that to you.

In all of this proof you've offered, where does it say that contact = offered the job?

And please provide proof that Baddour was no part of the football search. That certainly goes against what Butch says. Let me guess, Butch is lying?

YOU are the one (I think) that posted that Baddour would be out of the loop on the fball search. Didn't a private company do the searching?

re: bball search....whatever you say. Doherty was the second best choice, second offered, and the man for the future. Take off the glasses. huh.gif

On paper, Doherty appeard to be a great candidate. In Baddour's mind, Doherty was #2 on the list of realistic candidates. The prospects of a former player who was just getting started and who'd be at UNC for 30 years seemed very appealing. Who knew the dude was a fekkin' lunatic.

Baddour hired a consultant (Neinas) to aid in the search. That is what I said. Butch was atop the list and all negotations and interviews thereafter were done by Baddour. It was Neinas' job to see if Butch was genuinely interested before negotiations took place. This was done so we wouldn't look like idiots in searching for a coach a la ncsu and the retard sid debacle.

For you to say he was "no part" of the search is simply false. Do you really think it took a genius to figure out that Butch Davis might be somebody we should talk to?
