Howell got off the bus with 2 fouls, Pack had no chance.

Poor performance from the start, holes played well, end of story.

Love the pack fans complaining. Let's ignore the fact that NCSU actually outscored unc whenever Howell was out.

Let's also ignore the fact that the guy averages a foul every 6 minutes in ACC play, which would foul him out early in the 2nd half. He fouled out in 18 minutes against Miami. Maybe someone should teach him how to play defense.

Sure would have been nice to get 30 minutes out of Howell. He got 16.

And nobody's really bitching about the referees. We're just saying we KNEW Howell would be called for fouls early and often.

State fouls: 14
carolina fouls: 15

Officiating may not have played a role in last night's game but foul totals are but a single element to consider. Per TKKF , the "timing" of fouls called can also be part of a one-sided officiated game....as it pertains to Duke anyway. Not sure if the philosophy extends to State's games too though.

no beef with last night's officiating at all. simply put, henson and zeller dominated state's front court offensively, defensively and on the glass.

I will say for Gott that at least he didn't ask roywonderboy to call the game with time remaining and head for the locker room just because he was getting whipped on the road.

Mentioned that myself. Royboy's "we wanted to protect our players" excuse was bogus. He left 5 on the court.
