wow...the holes were lucky to escape. bullock misses one of those 3s and ohio is sending them home. pretty amazing considering ohio had absolutely no inside game...and when they did get a look inside, the fear of getting rejected destroyed it.

Why, when feeding Zeller inside was money for them tonight, did they try to match OU's ball movement (which, by the way, was damned impressive) around the perimeter?

shat...unc +28 on the boards
ohio was basically a team of guards (one contributing player over 6'5!) unc sucks without marshall. barnes was a no-show. another showing like this and his draft stock takes a dive. This post has been edited by eddiehaskell: Mar 23 2012, 09:25 PM |

Totally different team without Marshall. Elite 8 is lucky all things considered. you can certainly have him if he plays like this without an elite pg setting him up (reminded me of LDIII days). he showed no ability to create quality offense (against much smaller opponents) and no desire to lead his team. 5 turnovers didn't help either. unc is lucky, but hell, it's not like they were playing anything close to a good team. We'll take him next year. Totally different team without Marshall. Elite 8 is lucky all things considered. Ya know what? You're probably right. Wouldn't be shocked at all if Prince Harry returned. So much for building that "brand" at unx. |

rivers is a freshman and i wouldn't be surprised if he is drafted ahead of barnes (who was supposedly improving his draft stock).
the plumlees were never hyped as much as barnes and none were the #1 ranked high school prospects. |

You act as though Rivers' stock didn't drop significantly this year. I don't have the numbers but , if anything , AR's stock ROSE the latter part of the season. Don't get me wrong. If I'm mistaken , I'm mistaken. Yeah , it happens once in a great while. But the "eye-test" suggests the opposite. His play stood out on a team where everybody else , basically , closed up shop. I'd really like to see something proving that AR's stock has FALLEN since the beginning of the year. I'll leave that to you. You brought it up. QUOTE You act as though the Plumlees' stock didn't drop significantly this year. Excuse me , which Plumlee was the number one ranked recruit in the country outta high school? Which one is black? ( Yeah , it counts. The NBA ain't exactly a wellspring of caucasian big men! |

From what I've seen, he's now on the bubble for lotto pick. A lot of concerns about his teamwork, plus he got passed by basically every Calipari kid. |

Barnes and Rivers were both ranked #1. If Barnes is drafted ahead of Rivers that means Roy wins right? Too late. Roy's already lost. HB should be in the league by now. He ain't because his coach is a self-centered betch. Had Roy pushed 'im to go last season ( Ya know...like Deano used to do with his best pro prospects? QUOTE Gotta give ole’ Roy Williams credit. He has assembled quite the litter of talent in Chapel Hill. Best of all for him, he has seen most of these players stick around for more than a year, which isn’t the norm in this day and age. Everyone thought he had a one-and-done guy in SF Harrison Barnes (Draft Express #6), but the kid from Ames, Iowa bucked the trend, and stayed in school despite knowing he could possibly go #1 overall. Had Barnes been available, GM Chris Grant and Head Coach Byron Scott would have had a very interesting choice on their hands between Barnes and Kyrie Irving. QUOTE It turned out great for the Cavs and not so great for Barnes. While he is one of the best scorers in the country and has the size and body to be a natural NBA three, question marks surround his game that you weren’t hearing at this time last year. Does he settle too often for long jumpers? Why doesn’t he take the ball to the hole more? Can he handle the defensive rigors of the NBA (Roy’s team is not exactly know for its D)? However, Roy Williams, like his mentor Dean Smith, has been a noted star-killer. Ask Paul Pierce. Gonna add this to the "Roy's A Cunt" thread too. Lollers! |
